As someone selling their home, you may have lots of questions. My blog on FAQs for the home seller may provide you with the answers you need. I have gathered the questions (and answers) that are most asked by first-timers and veteran home sellers, to help guide you through the process of selling a home and conducting real estate transactions.
How much is my house worth?
This seems to be the big question. If you want to sell your home, you will have to put a price on it. This is where I can help. If you decide to hire a full-service real estate agent, like myself, we will use comparables, to help draw an accurate picture of what your home is currently worth. We also draw upon experience, local, and neighborhood insight to price your home right.
If you are selling your home yourself, FSBO (For Sale By Owner), you will need to do some homework. You can visit sites like Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, and Realtor.com and search for homes in your neighborhood or part of town. Next, compare your home to others for sale or recently sold, and make your own valuation based on square footage. Another route would be to hire a home appraiser who can provide you with a full report and a raw number to work with.
